our Answers to Common Questions
FAQs
do you offer free estimates?
While we are happy to perform a free collision consultation, creating an accurate collision repair estimate often requires a thorough damage assessment, extensive repair procedure research and may involve partial disassembly.
How long will the repairs take?
There is no average turn around time for collision repairs. There are many factors involving extent of damage, insurance cooperation and possible parts delays. However, we strive for clear and open conversation, to ensure you feel in the loop at all times!
why is my car totaled?
In North Carolina, if the damage exceeds 75% of the retail value of the vehicle, the insurance will deem it a total loss.
What do i do if my car totals?
1. You decide not to fix the car. The Insurance company will move the car to an auction yard and sell it for salvage.
2. We decide the car is repairable and you would like to have it fixed. The insurance company pays you the retail value of the vehicle, less the salvage value and deductible (if applicable). The remaining amount may be used to fix the car at the shop of your choosing.
what if my insurance company doesn't pay for my repairs
Navigating insurance claims can be rather tricky, while we are hopeful your insurance company will take care of you as it's loyal client, there are still negotiations that had to be had between us and your claims handler. We work with you, our loyal customer, to make sure you are not responsible for any insurance short pays.
